Strut head
The present invention refers to formwork systems that include a series of beams supported on struts through a head, and more specifically, to said head.
More specifically, the present invention refers to a head that allows joining said beams according to multiple configurations.
Heads of this type are known which comprise a lower spike for connection to the strut, a support base of beams and four projections that protrude perpendicularly from the base and that delimit the area of placement of the beams. The support base consists of a quadrangular plate and the projections are each located in one of the corners of the plate. This arrangement makes it possible to accommodate a through beam in the longitudinal direction (that is, the direction of the long side of the rectangle) or two parallel beams crossing the head in the transverse direction (that is, according to a direction parallel to that of the short side of the rectangle. It requires other connecting parts to ensure the union in each of the different configurations. As a consequence of the need for assembly and disassembly of different connecting parts, the durability of this type of head is poor.
It is an objective of the present invention to disclose a strut head for formwork systems that does not have the aforementioned drawbacks.
This is achieved by means of two plates perpendicular to the base that are arranged parallel to each other, parallel to said long side, in such a way that they leave a space for a beam between plates and two spaces for a beam in the space between the ends of the plates and one of said projections, each plate having
minus two housings for beam fixation.
The present invention discloses the combination of a basic head structure of known type with the use of plates with housings for the formwork beam terminals. The result is an economical and durable head but that allows multiple formwork configurations without the need for other types of heads or joining parts
More specifically, the present invention discloses a formwork strut head comprising a bottom spike for connection to the strut, a support base of beams and four projections arranged forming a rectangle defining a long side and a short side, in the that each projection is arranged at a vertex of said rectangle, said rectangle delimiting the area for receiving beams. The head comprises two plates perpendicular to the support base, the plates being arranged parallel to each other, and parallel to said long side, such that they leave a space for a beam between plates and two spaces for a beam in the space between the ends of the plates and one of said projections, each plate having at least two housings for fixing the beam
Preferably, each housing of each of the plates is arranged coincident with another housing of the parallel plate, according to a line parallel to said short side
More preferably, because the housings are arranged in the upper edge of the plates. Even more preferably, the housings are arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of said rectangle.
Advantageously, the head comprises a base plate that constitutes said support base and to which said plates are attached. Even more advantageously, the head comprises a folded sheet constituting said parallel plates and the base plate.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the head comprises four rods bent and joined together by one of its ends and separated and parallel by the other, constituting a section of rods attached to said spike and each of the ends separated and parallel one of the cited outgoing.
The present invention also discloses a strut comprising a strut head according to the present invention.
The present invention also discloses a formwork system comprising at least one strut according to the present invention, or at least one head according to the present invention, and at least one beam located in said beam receiving area.
Preferably, said beam comprises at least one projection conjugated with said housing or housings for beam fixing. More preferably, the projection is cylindrical. Even more preferably, the beam comprises two projections, one on each side of the beam, the longitudinal axis of the cylinders of both projections coinciding.
In preferred embodiments of the system object of the present invention, the housings are conjugated with projections located at one end of the beams, preferably cylindrical projections located on both lateral faces. Both projections can be fooled by a simple cylindrical rod that crosses the beam profile through a through hole. The position of the rod can be fixed by welding
The configuration possibilities offered by the head object of the invention are very wide, especially in its preferred embodiments, including: placing the head under a beam at any point along its length, head located at the end of the beam, preferably fixed to this, head joining two consecutive beams aligned, head joining two overlapping parallel beams, and head joining two beams perpendicular.
It should be noted that, according to a particularly preferred embodiment, the head is fooled by four bent rods and a sheet cut and folded over the previous ones. The durability of this particular embodiment is much superior to that of the heads of known type, since unlike the embodiments of the prior art, the rods grant rigidity to the assembly, while the sheet serves to distribute the load without allowing pressures punctual aliases under the beam that would deteriorate the lower part of the beam (usually made of wood). In turn, the fins that serve as accommodation to the beams' terminals are protected against shocks by the rods themselves.

Figure 1 shows an example of embodiment of head-1-for strut according to the present invention. Figures 2 to 12 show examples using the example head.
The terms "upper", "lower", "horizontal" and "vertical" in the elements of the head shown and in the subsequent examples of embodiment of the system object of the present invention, take as reference the most common use of the described devices in a formwork system, assuming that the beams are placed horizontally supported on vertical struts, within the possible and / or usual placement tolerances
40 within the field of construction.
The head -1 comprises four metal rods, in this case identically bent in the form of "4" that
they are joined by one of its sections, forming a lower pin -12-connection to the strut. Said spike
bottom will be inserted into the central hole of a strut, for example a strut of standard type {not shown in

the figures)
The lower pin -12-tops at the top of each of the rods that form the example of the head shown, giving way to two horizontal sections of rod that move symmetrically away from each other from the bottom pin, forming a horizontal base on which sits a folded sheet that defines a support base -13- and two plates -14-parallel to each other and perpendicular to the support base -13-. The support base 13 could also be formed exclusively by the horizontal sections of the metal rods, without the need for sheet metal.
Each rod is finished by a new elbow located in each of the corners of the support base -13 that gives way to a vertical section. Each vertical section forms a projection -11-. The projections -11-are arranged in a rectangle. Like all rectangles, the base defines a long side and a short side. As can be seen, the plates -14-are parallel to the long side. The rectangle defined by the projections -11- (or, alternatively, by the support base -13-) serves as the basis for defining a space for placing beams
In particular, the plates -14-divide placement spaces as follows:
- a space for placement of a beam arranged along the long side, and -two spaces between the end or end of each plate -14- and the projections -11-nearest for placement of two beams arranged following (or parallel to) the side short.
In principle, it is desirable that it does not require any other type of beams for longitudinal (following the long side) or transverse (following the short side) placement. This is achieved by making the distance between each end of the plate -15- and the nearest projection -11- equal to the distance between plates -14-. In the case of mixed beams, with a lower part narrower than the upper part, the height of the plates -14-, and the length of the projections -11- should preferably be equal to or less than the height of the lower part of the mixed beam. Also in this case, it is preferred that the length of each sheet -14- (that is, its dimension in the direction of the long side) be at least the difference in width between the upper part and the lower part of the mixed reference beam to be taken to design each specific system.
Each of the plates in the example has two housings -15-, -16-, -15'-, -16'-in the form of recesses located in the upper edge of each sheet -14-. Each of said recesses is intended to receive a corresponding projection -23- of a beam positioned longitudinally on the head. The number of entrees can preferably be zero, two or four. It can also be another amount. As can be seen in the figure, the housings -15-, -16-, -15'-, -16'-are arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of said rectangle, which in this case coincides with the position of the spike lower -12-. Each housing of each plate coincides, following a line parallel to the short run, with a housing of the opposite plate.
Figure 2 illustrates a -2-type mixed beam with, for example, a metal upper part and a wooden lower part. As you can see, the beam has a T-shape, with a lower part -22-narrower (less wide) than the upper part -21-. The beams used in the examples in the following figures are of this type. Beam -2-also has two protrusions -23-on each side. In this case the projections are of form and situation combined with the shape and location of the housings -15-, -16-, -15'-, -16'-of the head. In this case, the projections are cylindrical. The projections on each side of the beam may be constituted, for example, by a
same rod that completely crosses the beam. The position of the rod can be fixed by welding
This example of head allows various configurations of beams, of which we will describe merely some below. In the examples, elements equal or similar to those shown in previous figures have been identified with identical numerals and, therefore, will not be described in detail. Also, for reasons of clarity in Figures 3 to 12, the strut on which the strut head -1- would be placed was not represented.
In figure 3 a beam -2-longitudinally arranged on the head -1- is shown, that is, along the long side. In the example two projections -24-arranged at an intermediate point of the beam length placed in the housings of the sheet -14- have been represented. This allows to fix the beam -2-. However, it is also possible to dispense with said projections -24-.
In figures 4 to 6 two beams -2-, -2'-placed one after the other and facing each other have been shown. The beams are arranged longitudinally and each penetrates into the head beam space. Each projection -23-, -23'-of each beam -2-, -2'-is housed in a housing of a plate -14-this allows to fix the placement of the beams and that there are shocks or displacements.
As in all the embodiments shown, the projections -11-constitute as arms or fingers. The projections -11-of the examples serve as a guide. They can also exercise structural functions, preventing movements. The rods that constitute the projections can be made, if desired, in spring steel, in order to provide them with elastic functions.
In figures 7 to 10 an embodiment is shown in which one beam "-2" is arranged longitudinally, as in the previous example, but the other beam -2 is arranged transversely, occupying a defined space between one of the ends of the plates -14-and the projections -11- In this case, there are housings -16'-unused, but those corresponding to the beam -2 "-disposed longitudinally, are occupied by the corresponding projection -23", as is the case. with accommodation -15'-.
Finally, Figures 10 to 12 show two beams -2-, -2 '' '- arranged on the head transversely, parallel to each other, but with a offset in terms of placement. If desired, such offset may not exist.
Although the invention has been presented and described with reference to embodiments thereof, it will be understood that these are not limiting of the invention, so that multiple constructive or other details that could be evident to the technicians of the sector could be variable after Interpret the subject matter disclosed in the present description, claims and drawings. Thus, all variants and equivalents will be included within the scope of the present invention if they can be considered to fall within the broadest scope of the following claims.
